The Income Tax Department has launched a new initiative called the e-PAN card (electronic PAN). It’s simply a digital version of the traditional PAN card and can be used for all your financial and tax-related transactions.
The best part? You can get an e-PAN instantly by applying online. All you need is your Aadhaar number, since linking Aadhaar is mandatory for issuance. However, if you already have a PAN card, you won’t be eligible to apply for an e-PAN. Also, keep in mind that e-PAN is only available for individuals—it cannot be issued to companies, LLPs, or partnership firms.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to apply for and download an e-PAN card online via NSDL, UTIITSL, and the Income Tax e-filing portal, as well as offline options.
With Filingwise, you can get expert assistance to apply for your e-PAN quickly and hassle-free!
